Pot the seedless Kishu mandarin tree in a permanent container measuring approximately twice the volume of its original nursery container. Choose a container with at least two drainage holes at the base. Use an enriched potting soil mixture specifically designed for cultivating citrus trees.
Position the seedless Kishu mandarin tree where it will receive a minimum of eight hours of strong sunlight each day. Select a location near an unshaded south-facing window. Choose a growing location where it will be protected from cold drafts during the wintertime, since sudden blasts of cold air might cause it to drop its leaves.
Water the seedless Kishu mandarin tree with 2 inches of water once a week during the summer and 1 inch of water a week during the winter. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out completely before watering the tree again to avoid making the soil too wet.
Feed the seedless Kishu mandarin tree every six weeks from April until early September with 10-15-15 ratio fertilizer. Measure out the fertilizer according to the manufacturer's suggestions. Sprinkle the fertilizer onto the soil around the outer edge of the container, not directly against the trunk. Water the tree deeply after feeding it.
Rotate the growing container a half-revolution every few days to ensure even light exposure on the seedless Kishu mandarin tree, which will prevent it from developing a leaning growth habit. Provide supplemental light to the tree during the winter months using a fluorescent lamp, if sufficient light is not available.
