Cut several 3-inch holes in the lid of the bin. They should be at least 1 inch to 2 inches away from the edges of the lid and 2 inches to 3 inches away from each other.
Attach the connector to the pump's output. Attach the misting nozzle to the connector.
Drill a 1-inch hole in one end of the bin. Clean the bin completely so that there are no bits of plastic in it that might clog the pump or nozzle.
Place the submersible pump in the center of the bin. Pass the pump's cord out through the 1-inch hole. Fill with nutrient solution until the pump is fully covered but the misting nozzle is not. Put the lid on the bin. Be sure it fits down securely all the way around the bin.
Arrange one rock wool cube with seedling into each net pot. The seedlings should be large enough that their roots hang through the net pots. Seedlings can be started in a deep water culture or other hydroponics system, then transferred to the aeroponics system for growing. Fill the net pot around the seedling with clay pellets or silica stones to add stability to the plant. Place one pot in each hole of the lid.
Set the timer so that it turns the pump on for 30 seconds, is off for one minute and then repeats. This cycle must continue as long as there are plants growing in the system. If it doesn't, the roots will dry out and the plants will die. Plug the pump into the timer and the timer into the wall to complete the setup of your aeroponic system.
