Unwrap your orchid immediately after you have it in your possession.
Spray your corsage with lukewarm water, about 50 to 60 degrees. Orchids love humidity, so take a spray bottle filled with lukewarm water and give your orchid a little shower.
After spraying it with water, place it in a plastic produce bag and store it in the refrigerator until you are ready to wear it. If the corsage is made of anthurium orchids, do not put them in the refrigerator.
Avoid exposing your orchid to extreme cold. Carry it in a box if you have to travel at all.
Keep orchid corsages looking fresh for a second day by unwrapping the stems and placing them in water. Keep the orchid somewhere cool, but not in the refrigerator. With proper care, your cattleya orchids can last from five to seven days.
