The exotic Hindu rope plant, or Hoya carnosa, is a slow-growing vining specimen that fares well in bright home lighting. Unlike many houseplants, the rope hoya does not require regular pruning for the sake of its health. This plant grows so slowly that you may never have to trim it just to control its size. Indiscriminate pruning will prevent your Hindu rope from blooming.
