How to Clip a White Lavender

Lavender (Lavandula spp.) is a small, fragrant shrub, harvested for its flower stalks. The stalks are dried and the flowers and oils are used for various purposes, including in scented sachets, a spice in jellies, flavor in teas, and as an ointment burns and acne. Despite its name, lavender can grow blooms in all shades of purple, as well as blue, violet, pink and white. If you are growing white lavender in your garden, prune them to encourage new growth and to harvest the stalks.
