Brand Names for Tribulus

Also known as puncture vine, tribulus (Tribulus terrestris) is a flowering perennial herb that practitioners of traditional Chinese and Indian medicine have prescribed for centuries. The herb is well-known for its reputed ability to improve sexual function in men. More recently, fitness and health supplement companies have started marketing tribulus extract as a natural product for increasing strength, generating large muscle gains and building lean muscle mass. And while research does show that tribulus can increase production of male sex hormones, there is no evidence linking tribulus to muscle enhancement.

    • The corporation ISI Brands sells its tribulus supplement, Tribulus Fuel, under the Twinlab Fuel brand name. This capsule-based supplement utilizes a gluten-free formula, which means sufferers of celiac disease can safely consume the product without fear of allergic reaction. The manufacturer of Tribulus Fuel recommends taking one or two supplement capsules daily, ideally in conjunction with breakfast and dinner. However, as with all brand name tribulus supplements, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not evaluate or test such recommendations.
