How to Grow Fennel Spices

Fennel is an herb that can be grown as an annual or perennial plant. Annual fennel produces edible seeds and leaves. Perennial plants, including the Florence or sweet fennel, produce a large base that can be cooked as a vegetable. Planting fennel properly is essential to the taste of the final herb.
