How to Roast Shelled Raw Sunflower Kernels

If you grow sunflowers in your home garden, you can harvest the seeds to be eaten. One way to prepare the seeds is by shelling them and roasting them. If you have ever roasted pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds are roasted in the same manner. They are easy to prepare and do not take a lot of time. Sunflower seeds make a nutritious snack. They are high in proteins, iron and vitamin E. They can be sprinkled in salads or eaten alone.
