How to Clean a Botanicare Cloning Machine

American Agritech developed the Botanicare brand name products for use in hydrogardening. The Botanicare cloning machine provides a self-contained aeroponic system for cloning plants from cuttings, which promotes fast root development. The cuttings are inserted into a neoprene layer and sprayed with the Power Clone Rooting Solution and AquaShield Liquid Compost Solution using microjets. The cloning machines are available in different sizes, but require the same basic cleaning method.

Bleach (with no additives) or hydrogen peroxide
Water

Distilled vinegar

  Empty plants and nutrient solution out of the Botanicare cloning machine.

  Mix a cleaning solution of 1 part bleach or hydrogen peroxide and 10 parts water to fill the reservoir.

  Run the cleaning solution through the entire system, including the pump, water lines, and sprayers.

  Rinse the entire apparatus with a solution of 1 part vinegar and 10 parts water to remove the bleach solution completely.
