Night blooming jasmine — also known as night jessamine — is a member of the Solanaceae family of plants, which also contains tomatoes and petunias. This quickly growing shrub reaches 12 feet in height with a 4-foot spread, producing deep-green leaves and attractive white flowers that open during the evening hours and produce a sweet fragrance. Night blooming jasmine germinates readily from seeds planted in the soils of USDA hardiness zones 8 through 11.

  Prepare a planting plot for the night blooming jasmine. The plot should be in a location that offers partial to full sunlight and should consist of soil that pH that is neutral to alkaline.
