Description

• Products containing pendimethalin are selective, pre-emergent herbicides that control a wide range of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds including chickweeds. The herbicides are sold in the form of wettable powder and granules. Oryzalin is a surface applied, selective pre-emergent herbicide that also targets broadleaf weeds and annual grass. Oryzalin products come in the form of wettable powder and dry flowable.

Method of Use

• Oryzalin is not recommended for chickweed control in vegetables and bearing fruit and nut trees. Use oryzalin around established plants only, as cited by the University of California Extension. Use pendimethalin herbicides to control chickweed when plants are well established. The herbicide is often a part of weed and feed products.
