Description

Common chickweed has a prostrate, mat-like growth with forked hair stems. The 10-petaled, white flower clusters bloom from February to September. Southern brassbuttons has short stalks, finely dissected foliage and tall stalks of white flower clusters.

Common chickweed often infests lawns, gardens, vegetable plants, vineyards, disturbed grounds, nurseries and roadsides. Southern brassbuttons grows in disturbed areas, lawns, crop plants, managed and unmanaged landscapes and vineyards.
