The Phyllanthus niruri weed grows to almost 2 feet in height. It has an angular stem shape with oblong leaves that grow in sets of two that alternate along the stem. This weed is an annual and has yellow blooms and small, round fruit that is ribbed on the backside. The tiny, green fruit contains many seed that grow beneath the leaves. The fruit of this weed is useful in treating skin irritations and sores. (see ref 1 graf 4) Juice from the fruit may help skin wounds.
