How Do I Get Rid of Ticks With Garlic?

It is an unsettling moment when you realize your dog has ticks. These annoying insects may become apparent once your dog starts gnawing at its skin and scratching.

Mince garlic obtain it in liquid form before the tick season arrives. The application process will continue throughout the season.

    • 2

Put garlic into your dog's food about three times a week before the tick season hits, and throughout the season. On average, this is about four sprays of liquid garlic or 1/2 cup minced garlic (for dogs under 20 pounds) three times per week. For dogs over 20 pounds, increase the amount of garlic by half, and for dogs over 50 pounds, increase by an additional half. Doing this will create a subtle smell on your dog's skin that ticks detest. It will also strengthen your dog's immune system and heart, just as in humans.

Mix it well into your dog's food. If your dog seems picky about garlic juice, mix it with soybean oil and toss well with food.
