How to Grow Popping Corn

Popping corn is one of the five main types of corn. It is grown for the purpose of harvesting dry popcorn kernels, which are sold in stores and consumed as popcorn. In order to grow popping corn, a moderate amount of space in a large garden or yard is necessary. Rich soil is also helpful, though not necessary. Popping corn, as well as regular corn, has to be grown in rows to allow for proper pollination. With adequate space, sunlight and water, popping corn can be successfully grown and consumed.
