Instructions

    • 1

Brush your hair back tightly from your head, smoothing and untangling it.

    • 2

Separate a chunk of hair from your hair measuring 2 to 3 inches back from your front hairline. Pull the rest of your hair into ponytail.

    • 3

Comb the section of hair straight in front of you, holding it between your forefinger and middle finger in one hand. Slide your fingers down the length of the hair gathered in front of your face until your fingers hover just in front of your lash line.

    • 4

Turn on the handheld electric trimmer and hold it in one hand, still holding your hair in your fingers. Aim the trimmer's blades from the right side of your head and run it across the hair beneath your fingers holding it in place. The excess hair will fall from your fingers.

    • 5

Release your fingers, revealing perfectly straight Japanese-inspired bangs.
