Blueberry bushes grow from 1 1/2 to 6 feet high depending on the variety and maintenance of the plantings. The Northcountry, which grows in USDA hardiness zones 3 to 8, reaches a height of 2 feet while the Jersey, in USDA zones 3 to 7, can grow 6 feet tall.
A single blueberry bush can spread from 2 to 6 feet in width. Chandler and Jersey blueberry bushes can grow 7 to 8 feet in width. The Northcountry and Patriot blueberry plants grow 2 to 3 feet wide.
The most compact blueberry bush is the Northcountry, which is 2 feet high and 2 feet wide. The largest blueberry bushes are Jersey, Chandler, Blueray, Duke and Rubel with average sizes of 5 feet high by 6 to 7 feet wide. The height gives easier access for the harvest of fruit.
