Instructions

    • 1

Soak the Heritage raspberry plant roots in a bucket of water for one hour before planting to prevent the roots from drying out. Do not let the roots dry out before planting or else the raspberry plant may not grow.

Choose an area that has good drainage. Dig a hole, using the hand shovel, approximately 8 to 10 inches deep. Add a couple of handfuls of fertilizer that is high in organic matter to the soil before planting the raspberry plant. Mix the fertilizer together with the soil in the hole.

    • 3

Spread the roots apart with your hands. Place the plant in the hole and spread the roots around in the hole. If planting more than one plant, place the plants about 30 inches apart.

Cover the roots with the soil from the ground and a few handfuls of fertilizer. Pack the soil firmly with your hands. Water the plant with enough water to make the ground damp. Continue to water the plant once a week but be careful not to over-water the plant.
