Fill a 10-inch pot with a 50/50 mix of organic soil and peat moss. Use your hands to dig a hole large enough to accommodate the root ball of the miracle fruit plant.
Remove the miracle fruit from its nursery container and set it in the center of the hole. Backfill the hole, patting the soil around the miracle fruit plant's stem to remove air pockets.
Water the miracle fruit deeply after planting and once a week thereafter. Allow the water to flow through the soil and out the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot. Maintain moist, not wet, soil at all times.
Offer the miracle fruit plant plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. At least six to eight hours of indirect sunlight is required for the plant to thrive. If you do not have access to bright, indirect sunlight, set the plant under a grow light.
Maintain a constant temperature of 60 degrees F and above. If this is not possible, set the miracle plant on a plant heating pad after planting to keep it warm.
Supply the miracle fruit with plenty of humidity after planting. If your home is dry, run a humidifier. Wrap the pot loosely with plastic to maintain moisture in the pot.
Feed the miracle fruit a diet of water-soluble, acid fertilizer. Follow the label instructions for allocation amounts. Miracle fruits appreciate once-a-month feedings.
Apply an insecticidal soap to remove mealybugs or spider mites, which miracle fruit plants are prone to. Apply the insecticide per label instructions.
