The sea berry (also known as sea buckthorn) originates in Central Asia, China and Balkan countries, however it is starting to appear on North American soil. Sea berry plants are very hardy and can withstand extreme weather conditions. They produce attractive green-gray leaves and light orange berries which can be eaten; they have a slightly acidic flavor making them an alternative to oranges.
