A semi-erect variety of blackberry, Triple-Crown bears large, juicy, sweet fruits with an excellent flavor. Triple-Crown grows to a height of 4 to 8 feet, with a spread of 2 to 3 feet. It is winter hardy and bears fruit mid to late season.
Triple Crown blackberry is extremely disease resistant. It is capable of withstanding some of the more common diseases that affect blackberry plants, such as botrylis blight, orange rust and powdery mildew.
A study performed by the University of Arkansas Fruits Substation in Clarksville found Triple Crown proved to be nearly 60 percent resistant to fruit rots, comparing favorably with Kiowa and Navaho varieties of blackberries.
