How to Grow Chinese Forget-Me-Not (Cynoglossum Amabile)

A charming lavender-blue, white, or pink flower for lightly shady areas, this annual (grows just one year) often reseeds itself like a wildflower. It does well in a variety of soils and in both dry or damp conditions.

      Check your local nursery for forget-me-not seedlings - many carry them. However, it's also a snap to start forget-me-not from seed.

      Plant seedlings 8 to 12 inches apart in early spring.

      Sow seeds in fall where winters are mild (seldom dipping below 10 degrees). Sow in early spring in colder climates.

      Cover lightly with a quarter inch or so of soil.

      Allow flower heads to ripen on the plant if you'd like them to self-seed. Otherwise, trim off spent blooms.

      Cut back to ground or tear out in autumn.
