Locate a plot of soil that is moist but well-drained and is neutral or slightly acidic. It must also be in a location that has full access to sunlight, as the bottlebrush tree requires full sunlight.
Dig a hole in the soil. Place the bottlebrush tree in the hole until its roots are fully underground. Replace the soil that you dug out and fill the hole. Pack the soil lightly.
In the summer and spring months, water the tree freely. In the winter, however, keep the tree relatively dry so that excessive frost does not develop.
Give the tree a treatment of balanced liquid fertilizer every month.
