How to Plant CRP Switchgrass

CRP stands for Conservation Reserve Program, and it is a program created by the United States Department of Agriculture for farmers to allow certain fields to go fallow for the benefit of local wildlife. Farmers can plant native plants, such as switchgrass, on the land as well. Switchgrass is a warm season prairie grass that is native to North America. It provides cover for wildlife and can even be used as a biofuel.
