Pick a location that offers full sun or light shade to plant your morning glories and moonflowers. The location you choose must drain well after watering or a rain.
Provide the flowing vines something to which they may attach themselves as they grow. Install a trellis or attach wires to a wall next to the planting location.
Nick each seed lightly with a metal file to break through the seed coat. Place the seed in warm water to soak overnight.
Plant the seeds outdoors when ground temperatures are between 65 degrees and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Push the seeds about 1/2 inch beneath the soil next to the trellis or wall. Keep the ground moist until the vines emerge, which should occur in about four to seven days.
