How to Prepare White Oak Bark

The proper preparation of white oak bark creates a homeopathic remedy for multiple uses. White oak bark is sometimes used as an anti-viral for the prevention and treatment of illnesses. Made into a paste, the substance is said to shrink hemorrhoids and ease the irritation of eczema. As an infusion, white oak bark is said to work as a gargle to ward off sore throats and prevent certain gum diseases. Preparing the bark at home for any of these ailments is possible.
