Remove any part of the remaining top of the wicker end table.
Cut chicken wire into a 10-by-10-inch square.
Flip the table over and place chicken wire on top of the underside of the table. Take the copper wire and begin to sew the chicken wire to the underside of the table using a whipping stitch. A whipping stitch utilizes loops that create a decorative finish. Place one end of the copper wire on the inside of the table. Wrap around the frame of the table once and tie off using an underhand knot. Bring the wire up through the edge of the chicken wire, forming a loop on the frame, and bring it back down and around the frame. Continue this process until the chicken wire is stitched to the bottom of the table. Tie off the finishing end.
Set the table upright and arrange chicken wire into the shape of a bowl. Begin placing a layer of sphagnum moss in the bowl shape. Continue to outline the bowl with a 1/2 inch of moss.
Place 1/2 inch of soil in the bowl shape and begin to add plants to the planter. If using seeds fill planter with soil and plant seeds according to package.
Fill in around all plants with potting soil. Add a layer of sphagnum moss around the edge of the planter. Water the plants in with a watering can or hose with a fine mister attachment.
