Measure two 10-foot sections of the 1-by-2-by-36-inch mesh-welded wire fencing. Cut the sections with wire cutters. Take one of the sections and form a 3-by-10-foot rectangular frame. Repeat the process with the other 10-foot piece.
Measure an 11-foot length of the 2-by-4-inch mesh-welded wire fencing. Cut with the wire cutters. Fold 6 inches of this fencing over each end. Place on the top of one of the 3-by-10-foot rectangles. Attach with the hog rings every 4 to 6-inches.
Flip the rectangular frame over and attach the other 3-by-10-foot rectangle to it. Secure with the hog rings every 4 to 6 inches.
Measure two 3-by-18 inch pieces of the 1-by-2-inch mesh-welded wire fencing and cut with wire cutters. These will be the doors of the chicken coop. Starting at one of the open ends of the rectangle, secure one door to the bottom with the hog rings. Repeat the process with the other piece by placing the other flap on the top and securing it with the hog rings. This will create flap doors that overlap 6 inches in the middle. Secure the flaps closed with a bungee cord. Repeat the process for the other end.
Remove the top of the doghouse. File off all the plastic tabs using a wood rasp.
Place the 1-by-2-inch piece of board on the rim of the doghouse bottom. This will be the roost for the chickens. Place the two plastic bowls on the floor of the doghouse on the opposite end of the roost. Make sure the cut-out section of the bowls are not up against the walls of the doghouse. Fill with the bowls with straw.
Place the doghouse into the rectangular-shaped wire pen. Place the top on the doghouse with the bottom opening facing one direction and the top opening facing the opposite direction.
Collecting the eggs requires opening one of the doors to the coop and lifting off the lid of the doghouse. Push the hens off the nests and collect the eggs. Replace the lid on top of the doghouse once all the eggs have been collected.
