When Do Super Aster Daisies Bloom?

Super aster daisies are flowers within the daisy family that feature a blue or purple hue and bright yellow center. Super aster daisies bloom in the early summer through the fall and can reach 3 feet tall. They enjoy sunlight and partial shade in U.S. Department of Agriculture planting zones 3 through 9. Trim them in late spring to help promote thick growth of the plants at a later time.

They bloom from August (late summer) all the way through October (fall). They are one of the most versatile super asters because they can grow in almost any type of soil.

    Aster frikartii

    • The Aster frikartii, also known as the "Wonder of Staffa," is a super aster that blooms from July all the way into October. The Wonder of Staffa features purple blooms with yellow centers. They grow up to 3 feet high and 3 feet wide, making them a large super aster daisy. You can grow a Wonder of Straffa in a wide variety of soils, but you should plan the flower in an area where it can get a good amount of sunlight.
