Wash and dry the wine bottle thoroughly before beginning the project.
Fill the bottle with water up to the bottom of the neck. The bottle should be a bit over halfway full of water.
Cut flowers to give the stems an angled bottom, allowing more water absorption. You may need to cut some of the stems to change up the lengths of the stems. Any flower arrangement looks best when the blooms are at varying heights above the top of the vase.
Stick the flowers' stems into the bottle. The wine bottle will be able to hold four or five thin-stemmed flowers or a few wider ones, such as roses. Arrange the flowers as you desire. Add a filler flower if you like, or make a striking statement by using different shades of the same flower, such as Gerber daisies or carnations.
Tie a ribbon around the bottle to add something extra to the floral arrangement. If the event has a color theme, choose a coordinating ribbon to fit the decor.
