Instructions

    • 1

Place a foam floral block on a flat work surface.

    • 2

Stick pieces of greenery, such as evergreen or bay leaf, into the sides of the floral foam block to hide the block and create a lush looking base for the arrangement.

    • 3

Cut the stems of the live fresh cut flowers of choice two inches below the head of the flower. You can use any flowers you'd like, but popular funeral choices include lilies, roses and carnations. You can also choose to use the favorite flower of the deceased for a personalized touch.

    • 4

Stick the cut stems directly into the floral foam block to hold them in place. Arrange the flowers in a circular pattern until the entire top of the foam block is covered. At this point, the floral foam block shouldn't be visible at all.

    • 5

Use your fingers to adjust or arrange any pieces of greenery or flowers so the arrangement is balanced and even on both sides.

    • 6

Cut a 14 inch long section of 1 inch wide ribbon and tie into a bow.

    • 7

Secure the ribbon bow to the front of the arrangement by wrapping floral wire around the middle of the bow and the greenery beneath it.

    • 8

Refrigerate the arrangement until ready for use. Use within one day to avoid wilting.
