Place your bridal veil vine in a bright sunny spot indoors, like a south-facing window. Put it in a sunny spot outdoors, with protection from the hot midday sun.
Maintain the temperature indoors for your stephanotis at average room temperatures, between 68 and 72 degrees F, although it prefers slightly cooler temperatures during the winter months. Do not expose stephanotis to temperatures below 65 degrees F during its flowering season, or it may produce fewer flowers.
Water stephanotis frequently, to keep the soil evenly moist; do not allow the soil to dry out. Maintain the relative humidity indoors at 30 percent. An electric humidifier in the same room will benefit stephanotis. Give bridal veil vine less water during the winter months, but do not allow the soil to dry out.
Feed stephanotis every other week from spring through fall. Mix water-soluble fertilizer at half the manufacturer's recommended strength and apply in place of the plant's regular watering. Use a fertilizer specially formulated for blooming tropical plants. Withhold fertilizer from late autumn through late winter.
Repot when the roots outgrow the current pot. Use a potting soil that is rich and fertile. Add an equal quantity of peat moss to the potting soil, for best results.
Keep stephanotis at relatively constant temperatures, moisture levels and ambient conditions. Avoid drafts and don't disturb the plant with sudden blasts of air or jostling. When subjected to sudden, drastic changes in its environment, stephanotis tends to drop its flower buds.
