    • Grevillea mucronulata is native to the Australian state of New South Wales. It is a low, spreading, shrubby plant that grows about 3 feet high. The leaves are narrowly elliptical, and the flowers appear in pendant clusters.

    Habitat

    • Grevillea mucronulata grows in dry forests and in sandy to clay soil, with the plant population most densely concentrated in the Sydney area. Outside its native region, it flourishes best in sunny locations with well-drained soil.

    Fun Facts

    • The genus Grevillea was named for Charles Francis Greville (1749-1809), a founder of the predecessor to the Royal Horticultural Society. Grevillea mucronulata is depicted on an Australian postage stamp, first issued in 2007.
