• The perennial Asiatic lilies grow best in a garden that receives a minimum of six hours full sunlight, preferably during the morning and early afternoon. Amend the soil with 2 to 3 inches of organic compost before planting to increase the nutrient content and improve water draining around the plants.

Planting

• Plant Asiatic lilies is in the fall or early spring for the best results. Set the bulbs in holes that are 2 to 4 inches deep.
