Planting Jonquils

While the term jonquil is often used interchangeably with both "daffodil" and "narcissus," the plant is actually a specific class of daffodils, which are all members of the narcissus family. Like all narcissus bulbs, the jonquil is an early spring flower and often the first to appear after the cold winter. Jonquils generally have two to six fragrant blooms per stem. Plant jonquil bulbs in the fall before winter sets in.
