Wild Iris Bulbs

Wild iris is a woodland flowering plant that grows in most areas of the United States. Wild iris blooms, from spring to mid-summer, in 3-inch-wide flowers atop tall stalks.
  1. Location

    • Wild iris thrives in full sun. Although it will tolerate shade, it won't flower as well as it does when planted in a sunny location.

    Planting

    • Wild iris bulbs are planted in the spring, as soon as all danger of frost has passed. Plant the bulbs 3 inches deep into well-drained, fertile soil.

    Care

    • The most important aspect of the care of wild irises is moisture. The soil must be kept wet at all times.
