Locate an area for planting the Casa Blanca lily bulbs that provides full sun, at least eight hours a day.
Cultivate the soil within the planting area using a shovel or a garden fork. The soil needs to be loosened to a depth of about 12 to 16 inches.
Amend the soil to help boost flowering and provide a rich, well-draining growing medium for the Casa Blanca lilies. Spread out an even 3- to 4-inch layer of either plant-based compost or aged steer manure. Use the fork or shovel to mix the amendment deep into the soil, about 12 to 14 inches.
Measure out two 1-foot-sized rings or squares in the soil for planting the Casa Blanca lily bulbs. Each ring or square of bulbs should be about 2 to 3 feet apart.
Dig holes within each ring or square that are about 8 inches apart. Each hole should be the approximate width of each bulb and about 6 inches deep for smaller bulbs and 8 inches deep for larger bulbs.
Plant one bulb per hole, making sure to place each bulb with its pointy end facing upwards. Cover the Casa Blanca lily bulbs with soil, patting the soil down lightly.
Water the area thoroughly using either a sprinkler or by hand. If there is little summer rainfall in your area, plan on watering during the summer growing season at the rate of about 1 inch of water each week.
Fertilize the Casa Blanca lilies once buds begin to appear. Use a high phosphorus fertilizer such as 5-5-10 or 10-10-15. Read the instructions on the label so you'll know the precise amount of fertilizer to use.
