Instructions

    • 1

Read the instructions for your chipper thoroughly. Even if you've used a wood chipper previously, don't assume they all operate in the same way.

    • 2

Locate reverse and emergency stop buttons prior to operation.

    • 3

Look for and remove metal or stones before feeding branches, as these can dull the blades.

    • 4

Stand to the side of the wood chipper to feed in the branches.

    • 5

Feed large branches into the machine feeder by the butt end first.

    • 6

Use large branches or a pusher tool if your machine has one. Never reach inside the feeder to push down branches or to clear jams.

    • 7

Place short branches on top of the longer branches to feed them into the chipper.
