Instructions

  1. Restoring the Decal

    • 1

Examine the decal. If the decal is not completely scraped off or destroyed then it can be restored. If more than 70 percent is in decent shape you can fix it.

    • 2

Remove all the damaged material with the exacto knife. Cut all the ragged and bumpy bits away. Wash and allow to dry.

    • 3

Carefully paint in the missing portions with the enamel paint and a small artist's paintbrush. Take your time and use a steady hand to maintain the correct lines of the original decal. You may have to stop and let it dry to touch it up a couple times.

    Replacing the Decal

    • 4

Remove the decal with the scraper and the exacto knife. Measure the distances from the edges of the forklift so that the new decal will be placed in the same spot.

    • 5

Wash the entire area where the decal will be placed. Any dirt or excess debris canl cause the decal to pull off.

    • 6

Remove the backing from the new decal and carefully attach it to the forklift. Start at one end and carefully attach the decal, using a slow, smooth motion. Brush the decal with a soft cloth to assure that it is attached completely.
