Instructions

    • 1

Place the safety key in the ignition. The exact location of the ignition switch will depend on the model. Look on the left side panel of the machine, near the bottom.

    • 2

Flip the On/Off switch to the "On" setting. The switch will probably be near the ignition. The key does not turn in either direction.

    • 3

Pull the choke control lever to "Full" for a cold engine start. If the engine is already warm, leave the choke set to "Off."

    • 4

Plug in the power cord. Connect it to the engine first and then to the wall outlet. The plug goes near the front end of the thrower. If you are not using an electric starter, press the primer four times if the outside temperature is below 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Press twice if the temperature is above 15 F but below 50 F. Do not press the primer if it is above 50 F outside or if the engine is warm. The primer control will be near the On/Off switch.

Move the choke to "Off" once the engine starts. Unplug the electrical cord if applicable. Leave the machine to idle for several minutes. This will allow the engine to warm. The light will come on automatically once the engine starts.
