The Husqvarna YTH2348 is a lawn tractor slightly bigger than the Husqvarna YTH2246 and YTH20K46. A big difference between these models is the 48" cutting deck that comes standard with triple blades for improved cutting performance. The mower comes to the consumer partly assembled to ensure manufacturer-specified performance.

    • The Husqvarna YTH2348 operates on unleaded regular gasoline and is capable of holding 3 gallons. You will need to alter the oil type used in the tractor dependent on the operating conditions. When the weather is colder than 32 degrees Fahrenheit, consumers will need to utilize SAE 5W-30. Change to SAE 30 in warmer conditions. Oil capacity is 64 oz. when you use a filter, or 60 oz. without a filter. The spark plug that comes standard with the tractor is a Champion QC12YC. Ground speed has a maximum of 5.5 miles per hour in forward gears and 2.4 miles per hour in reverse. The charging system functions at 16 amps at 3600 revolutions per minute.

    Operation

    • The display on the Husqvarna YTH2348 is capable of 28 different symbols. Alert consumers will fully read their owners manual and familiarize themselves with the meaning of the symbols to prevent serious injury, death or serious maintenance issues. A built-in attachment lift lever raises and lowers the mower attachments for easy movement over obstacles. A parking brake prevents unaided movement. A service reminder ensures that you do the maintenance on the manufacturer's recommended schedule.

    Maintenance

    • Before operating the Husqvarna YTH2348, check brake operation, tire pressure, reverse system and ensure that all fasteners are tightened. The tractor requires additional tractor maintenance at 8, 25, 50 and 100 hour intervals. Check the engine oil level before every use.     Storage

    • The Husqvarna YTH2348 should be prepared for storage at the end of the season or after 30 continuous days of non-use. Preparation for storage should include a thorough cleaning to remove all dirt, grease, leaves, etc. All belts should be inspected and replaced as necessary. Ensure that all nuts, bolts, screws and other moving parts are secure and lubricated as directed by the owner's manual. The battery should be completely charged before storage, but due to inactivity it may require recharging during the storage period or before operation during the next season.
