How to Spray Roundup on a Tree

Roundup is non-selective liquid herbicide that is designed to kill a wide range of weeds and brush in the landscape or lawn. Using glyphosate as the primary chemical for killing weeds, Roundup is widely used in many areas near activity by animals and children, as one feature of the herbicide is that it becomes neutral when in contact with soil. Killing brushy weeds such as poison oak, ivy, sumac and other vines in trees is done with a stronger mix of the herbicide.
