Ideas for Farm Tractors

Farm tractors have always been known for their ability to assist farmers in tasks such as plowing fields, baling hay and harvesting crops. They are essential tools in meeting the food needs of our growing society. Although farm tractors are typically used for practical and commercial purposes, they can also be used for activities outside of their normal scope.
  1. Hay Rides

    • Take a ride around your farm and through the countryside with your loved ones in tow. Invite all of your friends and family on a hayride. Hook your farm tractor to a large trailer and add a few bales of hay. Customize the ride by making it a scary Halloween adventure, a romantic retreat or a relaxed family day activity. This event is suitable for almost any time of year. You may also choose to earn a little extra income giving guided tours around your farm or community.

    Tractor Pulls

    • Put your tractor to the test by entering it into a tractor pulling competition. A tractor pull is a motor sport in which individuals pull sledges with their tractors. Farmers and hobbyists come from the surrounding region or even neighboring states to showcase the strength of their modified tractors. The machine that pulls the heaviest sledge the farthest is deemed the winner of the competition.

    Tractor Races

    • Challenge a friend to a tractor race. Plot out a race course along the edges of your farm. You may choose to race on the course alongside your competitor or simply compete for the best time. Enlist the help of a time keeper and invite your family and neighbors to watch. You may also choose to set up an obstacle course to test your ability to maneuver the machine. Though a tractor run is very different from any NASCAR event, it can still be a fun and exciting activity.

    Corn Mazes

    • Attract the attention of paying customers by creating a corn maze. If you own a corn field, you can charge admission and allow people to walk through the maze that you have created. Choose a location and make a sketch of the corn maze. When your corn field has reached six feet in height, use your farm tractor to flatten and clear away the corn. You can also use your tractor to ferry customers to and from the maze.
