How to Remove a Blade Pan Assembly on a Bush Hog 2010

A rotary cutter is a tractor-drawn attachment used to cut grass or weeds on large properties. Bush Hog is a manufacturer of many different styles and designs of rotary cutters. The blades to the rotary cutter sit directly beneath the blade pans. Removing the blade pan from a 2010 series Bush Hog takes only a few minutes to complete.

  • 1 11/16-inch socket
  • Socket wrench
  • Work gloves

Instructions

      Position the rotary cutter for easy access to the blades underneath the blade pan. Disconnect the cutter from power source for safety.

      Remove the blade nuts and bolts which hold the blades to the blade pan with a 1 11/16-inch socket wrench.

      Take out the blades from underneath the blade pan. Once the blades have been removed, the blade pan is not attached to any other components.

      Put on work gloves. Carefully remove the blade pan from the Bush Hog. The edges of the pan may be sharp.
