Instructions

    • 1

Inspect your lawn mower for a sturdy flat surface to which you can bolt metal tubing. Measure the surface area available.

    • 2

Inspect available plows. Choose the one that is best suited for moving the type of soil you'll be working with in your garden. Make sure that your law mower is heavy enough to pull the style of plow you choose. Finally, find out whether the plow needs to attach to a hitch of a specific size. Select a hitch that is compatible with your plow.

    • 3

Select metal tubing into which you can securely slide the base of your hitch. Weld together two pieces of square metal tubing to create a t-shape. The horizontal tubing will add stability. The vertical tubing will allow you to attach the hitch onto which you can mount the plow.

Bolt each end of the horizontal tubing to the back of the lawn mower. Slide the base of the hitch into the vertical tubing which you have welded to the horizontal tubing. Drill a hole through the tubing and the hitch placed inside it. Place a hitch pin through the hole for security.
