My Husky 1650 Power Washer Is Leaking

The Husky 1650 Powerwasher is an electric washing device that uses a strong blast of water to clean large, hard surface areas. The power washer connects to a grounded electrical supply and a water supply -- usually from a garden hose -- to spray the desired item or surface. Because the water is under high pressure, water leaks can be common but usually can be resolved through some basic troubleshooting.

Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the Husky Powerwasher from the power and allow the unit to cool completely.

    • 2

Unscrew the connections between the hoses, spray wand and gun. Wipe out the connections with a clean, damp cloth and apply a small amount of grease that's not water-soluble on the o-rings.

    • 3

Reattach the connections in a clockwise motion firmly until each connection is snug.

    • 4

Turn the spray nozzle counterclockwise to remove from the wand. Wipe out the nozzle with a clean, damp cloth and flush the nozzle out with water. Reattach the nozzle to the wand firmly in a clockwise direction until snug.

    • 5

Remove the water plug at the front base of the power washer to access the screen filter. Rinse the screen filter to remove debris that may be causing a leak when water passes through the filter. Replace the screen filter and attach the water plug firmly.
