Doughboy Pool Power Pak II Setup Instructions

The Doughboy Power Pak II is a compact, self-contained pool pump that efficiently cleans most above-ground pools. This fully programmable pool pump can be attached to any type of Doughboy filter and is available in both timer and non-timer units. It is offered in a range of horsepowers, including 3/4, 1, 1 1/2 and 2 hp models, and features Flow-thru air ventilation, multiple filter cycles and a thermally protected motor covering. The Doughboy Power Pak II is simple to set up and ideal for conserving energy.

Instructions

      Place the Power Pak unit on a patio block, filter-pump base or an elevated platform. The pump must be elevated off the ground to prevent water, grass and weeds from blocking the air vents or damaging the motor.

      Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet -- the pump may start automatically. If so, press the "Manual" button on the keypad to shut off the pump and program the operation.

      Clear the factory programmed settings on your pump by pressing the "Time On" button, followed by the "Clear" button. Do this eight more times -- the display should show all bars instead of numbers.

      Press the "Time Off" button, followed by "Clear." Repeat this eight more times to clear out the memory.

      Press the "Set Clock" button to set the clock for the correct day and time. Press the "Day" button on the keypad. Continue pressing the button until you reach the correct day of the week. Each of the days are assigned a specific number, starting with Monday at the number one position, and ending with Sunday at the number seven position.

      Press the "Hour" button on the keypad to cycle through the military time hours. Continue to press the button until the correct hour is displayed. Press the "Minute" button and repeat the same process to set the current minute.

      Press the "Time On" button, followed by the "Day" button to program the morning Time On energy efficient setting. Continue to press the "Day" button until the display shows "E" for the everyday setting. Next, press the "Hour" button until the display shows "07." Then press the "Minute" button until you reach "30."

      Press the "Time On" button, followed by the "Day" button to program the evening Time On energy efficient setting. Continue to press the "Day" button until the display shows "E" for the everyday setting. Next, press the "Hour" button until the display shows "18." Then press the "Minute" button until you reach "00."

      Program the morning and evening Time Off energy efficient settings in the same manner. Start by pressing the "Time Off" button. For the morning Time Off setting, program the day, hour and minutes as "E," "11" and "30." For the evening Time Off setting, program the day, hour and minute as "E," "22" and "00."

      Press the "Set Clock" button to complete your programming. The display will show the current day and time and will now be programmed for proper filtration and energy conservation.
