How to Install a Pentair Auto-Water Filler

An automatic water filler from Pentair protects your pool from damage that results from too little or too much water. The filler automatically adds extra water if there's too little or removes extra water is there's too much. These automatic water fillers are available for inground and vanishing-edge pools. Once the Pentair water filler is installed in your pool, you won't have to worry about keeping the water at the proper level again.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Dig a hole as deep as the Pentair water filler and twice as wide. Place the lever bucket next to your pool so the top of the bucket is at the same level as the bond beam of the pool. Use the rebar to keep the bucket steady.

    • 2

Insert the equalizer pipe into the water filler completely straight and level using PVC or ABS joint cement.

    • 3

Connect the fresh water supply pipe to the bottom of the side lever bucket and a supply of fresh water. Use PVC or ABS joint cement.

    • 4

Remove the test plug and allow the supply line to run for 60 seconds to clear the line. Attach the overflow pipe to the top port of the lever bucket using PVC or ABS joint cement.

    • 5

Place the Fluidmaster valve into the lever bucket and press on the top of the valve while twisting it clockwise and counterclockwise to get the proper water level.

    • 6

Place the cap on top of the Pentair water filler. Mix the cement and pour it over the automatic water filler up to 1 to 2 inches below the top of the filler. Allow the cement to dry completely.
