Pool Tile Cleaning Equipment

Summertime temperatures mean you'll be spending a lot more time enjoying yourself in your swimming pool. However, with warmer weather and increased use your swimming pool may become grimy and your pool tiles may become discolored. There are several different pieces of swimming pool tile equipment that can make keeping your swimming pool clean easier.
  1. Pool Brush

    • A pool brush is a long-handled, stiff-bristled brush that resembles a push broom. This piece of pool tile cleaning equipment is long enough to reach the bottom of the pool in order to brush algae and dirt off of the tiles of the pool, along with cleaning the tiles on the walls of the swimming pool.

    Tile Brush

    • A tile brush is similar to a pool brush, only a smaller, hand-held version. The tile brush is easier to use while in the swimming pool, allowing for a thorough scrubbing of swimming pool tiles to remove grime, scale and algae.

    Pumice Stone

    • Pumice stone is a type of natural rock with a very rough texture and is sometimes used for cleaning. Pumice stone is a good piece of pool tile cleaning equipment to always have on hand, because it can remove some of the more stubborn scale that can build up in swimming pools, although you should test the pumice stone on a hidden area of pool tile to ensure it does not scratch the surface and wreck the tile.

    Pool Vacuum

    • A swimming pool vacuum is a special piece of swimming pool tile cleaning equipment that gets its power and suction from being plugged directly into the swimming pool's filter. The vacuum can help remove any large pieces of debris or dirt from the tiles at the bottom of the swimming pool.
