Turn off all of the pumps and filters you have hooked up to the pool. This exact process depends on the equipment you have installed. In general, you will usually have a sub-panel connected to your breaker box that controls the pool.
Place the inlet tube of the waste pump into the pool so the tube runs along the bottom. Place the outlet tube of the waste pump so it does not aim pool water at any bodies of water or your septic system. Check with your local authorities to determine the proper disposal method for pool water. In most municipalities, you're allowed to run the water down the street and into a sewage drain. Drain the water completely from the pool.
Disconnect all of the water lines and plumbing connected to the water jets in the side walls of your pool. In most cases, all you need to complete this is a pair of pliers.
Remove any skeletal framing from the top of the pool. Most framing is secured with screws.
Push gently on one side of the pool to collapse it into the center. Have a second person push in on the opposite side of the pool.
Reposition yourself and your helper to the sides that are still standing. Push one of the sides down and then the other.
